Math Night @ CNGS

Do you find yourself banging your head against a wall as you try to understand math and how to help your children. The math teachers at CNG are organizing a math night. Please mark down the date and come out to learn. Below you will find a link so you can let the teachers know what you would like to learn.

CNG School Council and Association Meetings

Please join us next Tuesday, March 12 at 6:30 for our next School Council meeting.  As usual we will be in the Learning Commons where Mr. Bushell will give us his Principal’s Report and we will be discussing upcoming events.  There will also be a short Parent Association meeting immediately following.  All CNGS parents are welcome and we look forward to seeing you there!

CNG School Council Meeting for all Parents

All parents are invited to our CNG School Council Meeting, Tuesday, October 16th at 6:30 PM, in the learning commons.

We will meet as parents to discuss a variety of items with our school administration. This is a great opportunity to know about changes happening in the school and have your parent voice heard.

At our upcoming meeting our Principal, Ross Bushell, will report on changes to grade 7. We will discuss tech needs in the classroom. We will talk about digital citizenship and best practices for educating our children, teachers and parents.

Power School- how to register

Hello Parents,

Here are some step by step instructions to sign up for powerschool.

1. Go to the Calgary Board of Education website.

2. Click on the “mycbe/ powerschool” icon

3. On the next screen choose “create a parent account”, click “create parent account” again.

4. You will then need to request an Access key (Please don’t miss this important step)

5. You will then need to enter your email, (the one we have on file for you at the school … any other email account will not work)

6. Re-enter your email.

7. Enter your child’s CBE # (found on their report card)

8. Enter your child’s birth date

9. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Submit”

10. You will then receive an email with an access key.

11. Go back to the sign in page and “create an account”

12. Enter all the information required.

13. Go to CBE Apps to sign up for teacher conference/pay fees/D2L

Tues, Sept 18th School Council & Association Meetings @ 6:30

Welcome back all parents! All parents are invited to attend our first School Council and Association meetings of the year. School Council will begin at 6:30 in the learning commons. You will have an opportunity to meet our new Assistant Principal, Alison Field. We will begin the evening with a presentation by Saferoads.

Fun Lunch/ Healthy Hunger

School Council and Association will once again be offering Fun Lunch through the Healthy Hunger program. This school year, our program includes 7 vendors and will be offered each Tuesday beginning on September 11th. To register for this program, go to healthyhunger.ca. Note that you will need to know you child’s homeroom before registering.

ALL orders for our September 11th date must be placed by midnight Wednesday September 5th.

We are also looking for volunteers to help compile and distribute orders for Fun Lunch between 11:30 AM to 1:15 PM on Tuesdays. If you would like to join us each Tuesday or help out occasionally, you are welcome. Please contact Stacey Morrison if you are interested at stacey.morrison@hotmail.ca
